About Cognizant GenC Hiring Program

Cognizant GenC (Generation Cognizant) is an entry-level hiring program designed to onboard talented graduates and train them for client-facing technology and IT service roles. Under this program, candidates are aligned to various service lines such as Multicloud Operations, Digital Workplace Services, and Integrated Smart Operations.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria – Cognizant GenC 2026

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates from 2024 or 2025 batch of any 3-year UG degree (For e.g. BCA, BSc, BA, BBA, BCom, Bvoc, BMS, etc) with minimum 50% in academics. (rounding off 49.9% is not allowed).
  • BCA, BSc – Computer Science, Information Technology (allied streams), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics & Electronics with minimum 60% in academics. (rounding off 59.9% is not allowed).
  • Candidates with standing arrears are NOT eligible.
  • Candidates should possess consistent academic record with minimum 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG (rounding off 59.9% is not allowed).
  • At the time of joining, all recruits need to have a minimum 60% aggregate in the 3-year UG degree with no arrears.
  • Appropriate CGPA to % conversion to be considered as per university norms.
  • Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location in a given shift timing and any technology is mandatory.

Analyst Trainee – Aligned to Multicloud:

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform activities based on defined guidelines in SOPs/Runbooks with an understanding of business impact.
  • Adhere to customer security and compliance requirements.
  • Follow customer communication etiquettes.
  • Ensure stated productivity requirements for the engagement.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement plans (CSI).
  • Participate proactively in knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Act as a buddy for new hires.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and processes (including Cognizant’s security policies, LP, timelines, etc.).

Role expectations:

  • Associate should be client-focused and able to work with users from different communities and cultures across the globe.
  • Associate should be willing to work in a 24/7 environment and be open to relocating to any part of India based on project requirements.

Analyst Trainee – Aligned to Digital Workplace Services:

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing their IT-related issues and inquiries. Log and track all support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of problems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, performing diagnosis and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and ensure prompt resolution. Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation to enhance self-service options and facilitate efficient problem-solving.

Role expectations:

  • Associate should be client focused and able to work with users from different communities and cultures across the globe.
  • Ability to have flawless communication (verbal and written) with our clients and possess sound technical knowledge.
  • Work in shifts and work from office.

Mandatory documents:

  • For registration:
    • Resume (maximum of 2 pages) with a high-resolution passport size photograph. Please note that the photograph should be clicked in a light background and both the ears of the candidates must be visible.
  • For interview:
    • All academic documents including the college ID card (if available) and school/college UG mark sheets, UG degree certificates.
  • For onboarding:
    • The final Cognizant onboarding would be subject to satisfactory background verification.
    • PAN card – It is a mandatory requirement for onboarding. Please ensure that your first name, last name, father’s name, and other details are accurate. Please note that background verification will fail if the last name is not updated or if the PAN card name does not match the registered name.
    • Voter Id card / Passport (any one) will be mandatory to verify citizenship.

Support available from Cognizant (post joining as Full Time Employee):

  • Night shift allowance will be paid by the project.
  • Cabs will be provided for pick-up and drop-off, ensuring safety and comfort.
